				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Kindergarten through second grade general and special education teachers, reading specialists and speech-language pathologists can learn multisensory teaching strategies during the two-part DuBard Association Method® basic course set for Sept. 21-23 and Oct. 19-22 on the Hattiesburg campus.</p>
<p>“The DuBard Association Method® is a tool that educators can use to reach all students,” said Missy Schraeder, professional development coordinator at the DuBard School for Language Disorders.</p>
<p>The course topics will include the principles of the DuBard Association Method®, The Northhampton phonetic symbol system, oral and written language skill development and incorporating the DuBard Association Method® into the school curriculum.</p>
<p>The information and strategies gained in the course will benefit children who may have severe oral and written language and/or hearing loss, severe speech disorders, learning disabilities, dyslexia, Autism spectrum disorders and Asperger’s disorder.</p>
<p>The course is approved for four continuing education units (CEUs) for educators and speech-language pathologists.
