Nell Scroggs Brown, 60, Ovett

Nell Scroggs Brown, 60, died December 29, 2010, at her home in Ovett. Visitation will be Friday from 5:30 – 8 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Petal.
Mrs. Brown was a lumber inspector and a member of Spiritual Life Center in Petal.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion Blackwell Scroggs, Sr. and Hazel Sanders Scroggs; and two brothers, James Edward and David Arnold Scroggs.
Survivors include her husband, William Jack Brown of Ovett; a son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Terrie McNemar of Columbia, La.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sissy and Wade Collins of Conway, Ark., Mellisa and Tony Lawson of Trenton, Ga. and Janita and Jimmy Cornelius of Seale, Ala.; a brother, Buddy Scroggs of Columbia, La.; three sisters, Angie Scroggs Potter of Corning, Calif., Sarah Ann Burge of Hattiesburg and Ruth Jones of Anchorage, Alaska; and ten grandchildren, Harleigh Warren, Cade Collins, Erin, Stephanie, Willace and Jesse Hart, Aidan McNemar, Jimmy Lee and William Tucker Cornelius and Gracie Lawson.
Services will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, January 1, 2011, at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, La. followed by burial in Welcome Home Cemetery. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 1 p.m. Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
