The National Hurricane Center has issued a Tropical Storm Warning from Destin, FL to Intracoastal City, LA. This includes Lake Ponchartrain and New Orleans. This means that Tropical Storm Conditions are expected somewhere in the watch area over the next 36 hours.
On the current forecast track the center of what will be Danielle will be near the North Central Gulf Coast by late Wednesday or early Thursday.
Current maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph with higher gusts. Slow strengthening is expected.
The most likely impact in the Pine Belt will be the possibility of heavy rain. Rainfall amounts of 3-10 inches are possible in some areas as the storm moves ashore.
