Lamar County Ban on "Spice" May Come Soon

Lamar County Courthouse Pic courtesy of

Synthetic Marijuana may soon be banned in Lamar County. The Board of Supervisors considered banning the substance today, but decided to get more information from Sheriff Danny Rigel and Board Attorney Tony Mozingo before taking a vote.

If the county decides to ban the substance, they will follow the lead of several Pine Belt counties including Forrest. Sheriff Rigel says he thinks the State Legislature may vote to outlaw all forms of the synthetic Marijuana in January.
