LAUREL – CrossPointe Church in Laurel will be hosting author and founder of In The Cross-Ties Discipleship Ministries, Cheri Holcomb for a conference and special presentation of, “The Disciple Life”. The two-day event will be held on Friday, September 17 from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m., and continuing on Saturday, September 18 from 8:30 a.m. until noon. Baptist Bible and Bookhouse will also be hosting a book signing of Cheri Holcomb’s book, “God Sent Me Tulips” on Friday September 17 from 3:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.
Holcomb will be delving into the difference between biblical disciple making, which is mandated by Jesus and discipleship.
“Disciple making is 2 Timothy 2:2 in full force! It’s hands on ‘life on life’ building and sculpting the life of a Christ follower into a world-visionary. Disciple-Making is an incarnate, transformation, verses the issue of discipleship, which is educational and not necessarily transformational,” explained Holcomb.
The cost of the conference is $10 which includes refreshments. Tickets can be purchased at Baptist Bible and Bookhouse in Laurel and at CrossPointe Church in Laurel. Information about the conference can be found on the CrossPointe webpage, www.crosspointechurch.org or by calling 601-520-6939.
Holcomb is a multi-generational disciple maker; a dynamic conference speaker; a radio personality for WTNE 97.7 Grace Broadcasting network and the author of “God Sent Me Tulips.” Her Ministry is committed to building the lives of generational multipliers through teaching and training in the biblical principles of Disciple-Making according to 2 Timothy 2:2. She has led conferences all over the United States reaching the international regions of Africa, El Salvador and Mexico and shares with an infectious passion the transforming power of God in the life of ordinary people through a Great Commission lifestyle of disciple making.
